Op, long time no talk. Hopefully you’re not as acutely aware of how much time passes between newsletters as I am. But right now I’m sick in bed, and the thought of making another reel might make my head explode, so let’s catch up! In this newsletter I’m telling you what I’ve been up to, a little guide on how to enjoy Denver’s fake spring, and sharing my honest thoughts on some of my recent Denver endeavors!
Catching Up
House Representative Kingston has a nice ring to it, don’t you think?! Ok, ok, so I’m not running for office . . . yet! As I continue to grow my activism and community involvement, I’m left thinking why don’t I just run? I feel as if on some level I have been preparing to be in Politics my whole life. Which is a crazy thing to admit outloud, BUT I think I could do it. I know I have people around me who want me to do it and would support me through it, yet I’m still scared to take the leap. I’m enjoying the life I’ve carved out for myself. In some aspects, I already live a pretty public life, and taking a position in politics only makes my life more public. 👀 However, starting an activism group, DAWG, and mobilizing thousands of women in the Denver metro area feels like the first step of what will hopefully be a long life of activism.
More on DAWG 🐶 because it’s my beautiful brain child at the moment. Last month we hosted our first activism meeting, and over 80 women showed up and 5 nonprofits came to speak. We spent the evening talking, and building connections and pathways for women to become more active in their communities. I was standing there listening to a speaker and looking over the crowd and had a very *pinch me* moment. It was amazing to see something that I had dreamed of become a reality. We have our next meeting coming up on May 7th, and this one will be about Immigration and how we can get involved with local immigration advocacy efforts. If you’re free, I’d love to see you there! 💜
Non DAWG related, and non social media related: I’ve been quite ill over the past few months. I was trying out a new medicine and it tore me apart. I’ve had to cancel hostings, hangouts with friends and I’ve just generally been struggling to get out of bed. But the light is at the end of the tunnel, I’m no longer taking the medicine and I hope to be back to myself soon. Other than that, spring is in the air and interior designer Rayna is itching to get out. My rooftop is screaming for a makeover and I might just heed its call. Oh! I did my very first podcast. It’s kind of a long listen, so put it on while you’re cleaning the house and let me know what you think!

Guide to Denver’s Fake Spring 🌷
As a late April baby who grew up in Colorado, I know that it will always snow around my birthday. Colorado loves to tempt us with her warm weather and early blooms, but it's always just a farce. Until spring is actually here, below are some of my favorite ways to enjoy Denver’s fake spring. ⬇️
Denver Botanical Gardens 🌸
The snow this weekend might have ruined the tulips in bloom, but plants in Colorado are born resilient. A visit to the Denver Botanical gardens is a must for early spring.

Farmer Market Season 🥕
Denver really goes hard for its farmer’s markets and at the beginning of the season, the markets are so crowded and it’s impossible to shop. However, the best days to go are in early spring when it’s a little rainy, a little chilly, and you can bundle up and shop in relative peace. Here is a roundup of my favorite markets.
Craft Night 👩🎨
When it ultimately gets 30 degrees outside in April and you need an indoor activity, I always turn to a craft. Some of my favorite spots to craft: Ceramics in the City, Fleur, Fruits of Our Labor

Patio Hangs 🌞
For those gorgeous, spring days where all you want to do is sit outside and sip on a beverage, these are my go to patios:
Influencer Tea
Look, I know so many of you read this newsletter for this section and this section only, and when I started this newsletter two years ago I had a lot of tea. I was so fresh in the industry and was way more enmeshed with other creators. However, the tea is not piping anymore; it is now a lukewarm decaf tea, if that!
Dare I say I’ve grown up a bit?
Most of the tea I have these days comes from out-of-touch companies that reach out to me, the vendors that I have to track down to pay me, or the random mean people in my DMs. The only tea that comes to mind is the other day, a company told me they didn’t care that I was sick, and that they wanted their content now. That really pissed me off. Lol.
Sure, I could a make bigger deal out of what people say to me or how other creators make me feel, but truthfully who has the time? We’re living through an insane time in history and most days I’m just trying to keep my head on straight. So for right now, there’s no tea, but I promise that you’ll be the first to know if there is any! In the meantime, let's all go figure out how to get Trump removed from office.
